FRONT BUILDING.
Built about 1880. The Centenary Plate was made 1888. Uranganite 600 million years old gemstone from coloured sands, found Airport area, Urangan. 2 Photos’ of Boyle & Sarah MARTIN, Married 1864 Boyle was 24, Sarah 20, the first European Settlers to live in Hervey Bay 1865.

Display of old medical equipment, medicines and features the “DUCIE” Collection. (Mention the 5 prints of George Raper on 1st Fleet, 1788 on display discovered in 2005 at TORTWORTH by current Earl, David Moreton). The collection now in National Library, Canberra.

Originally built for the Rackeman family in 1898 at Home Creek via Tingoora, near Kingaroy, original condition and containing many display items from the late 1890s period.
No electricity, tap water, glass windows or bathroom. Look outside for the water pump over the well.

Originally owned by Mr Christiansen on his 160 acre farm opposite where Main St. meets Booral Rd. Built 1898, it contains implements used in the early days of dairying, old churns, glass milk bottles etc.

ACUTT COTTAGE,

ACUTT COTTAGE.
1920’s cottage owned by Dr Acutt ( a lady doctor) and sold for $200 when she purchased land in Torquay Rd. for a Medical Centre. The wood burning stove, ice chest, bedroom furniture and clothes are in keeping with that era. Ice chests were used in areas where there was no electricity to keep food cool. Stop on ramp and see small native stingless bees on your left.
