Hervey Bay Historical Village & Museum

Vehicles Galleries

Our skilled volunteers are very proud of their efforts in restoring and preserving numerous vehicles and mechanical items. The following slide shows will give you some idea of their achievements.
Sometimes these items are just rusting relics waiting for a new lease of life to be given to them by our dedicated team. The 1934 Ford V8 Truck is a prime example of our restoration skills while the fully equipped and operational Dennis Fire Engine is a beauty to behold. They both took approximately 2 years from start to finish. Both are registered as Historic vehicles and so can join in various outside parades and events. Our 1942 Blitz is driven by us in the Anzac day Parades. The Dennis Fire Engine last Christmas ferried Santa Claus to a childrens party.
