“Great Hall Pens”
The Hervey Bay State High School Great Hall was recently demolished after 40 years to make way for a new Arts Building.
To preserve the history of the building, we have been given some of the original Turpentine timber floorboards from which our volunteer craftsmen woodturners have turned commemorative pens.
This timber was sourced from Fraser Island.
These will be sold at the Historical Village in Scarness and will come complete in a distinctive commemorative lined box and have a Certificate of Authenticity signed by the School Principal, the Historical Village President
and the two wood turners who created them, Arno Tesling and Brian Taylor.
They will be a Limited Edition with a possible Second Limited Edition if demand warrants it.
Once the timber is all used up, there will be no more.
